Living in Japan changed how I think about wellbeing before I ever called it that. It wasn’t separate from daily life, it was in simple routines, in paying attention, in slowing down enough to actually notice what you were doing.
I teach Kundalini yoga, and I’ve coached gymnastics for over 25 years, breath, control, and paying proper attention to what your body’s doing.
Weekly class

Retreats
No two retreats are the same. Each one is shaped by the season, the group, and what the day calls for, usually some combination of movement, tea, shared food, and time to slow down. Held at various locations, including in collaboration with Carlingford Yoga Retreat Centre.
One example: a full day built around tea ceremony, restorative yoga, and Japanese food, in place of a corporate Christmas party.
“Absolutely amazing experience, a treat for all the senses. I can’t recommend this highly enough.” — attendee

Yoga for Grieving Hearts
1st June 2026
Grieving Hearts Yoga
Grief doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.
Sometimes it’s the loss of a person.
Sometimes it’s the end of a relationship, a chapter, a version of yourself you thought you’d always be.
Sometimes it’s a quiet weight you’ve been carrying so long you’ve stopped noticing it — until your body reminds you it’s still there.
This day is not about fixing any of that. It is about giving it room 🤍
In the Japanese tradition of Omotenashi — wholehearted, unhurried welcome — we begin from the simple premise that you deserve a space where nothing is required of you except your presence.
No performance.
No pushing.
No pressure to feel better.
Just a carefully held day in beautiful surroundings, with practices that meet you exactly where you are 🌿
What the day holds
We move gently through grief yoga — slow, somatic practices that allow emotion to shift and soften without force.
We breathe together, sit in stillness, and walk the Cooley Hills in the kind of quiet that only good company and open landscape can offer 🍃
There is time for reflection and journaling, for restorative rest, and for the particular comfort of a nourishing vegan lunch and homemade cake shared around a table with people who understand.
You do not need yoga experience.
You do not need to explain yourself or your grief.
You only need to come.
The day at a glance
10.45am — arrive and settle in tea, chat and a warm welcome
11.00am — grounding meditation & gentle introduction to the day

2.15pm -silent guided mindful walk in the surrounding hills

Feedback example from one person (Vicky) said”
“My experience attending the grieving yoga sessions has been very positive. The first session was emotionally tough, intense…but so worthy, it was liberating.
I felt a release from all the emotions that I had stuck for a long time, that I didn’t allow myself to express or accept.
Jackie has that effect on people around her, bringing peace, calm and positive vibes.
This yoga sessions didn’t disappoint at all and I’m glad we have the chance to enjoy more of them.
Keep them coming.”
